Translation #
English is the source language and Dutch is included. WordPress selects the translation from the site or user locale. To add another language, translate languages/wp-responsive.pot with Poedit, Loco Translate, or another gettext-compatible tool. Store custom translations outside the plugin folder when your translation tool supports it so updates do not overwrite them.
Privacy and external services #
Normal iframe previews send a visitor’s browser to the website entered in the generator. That website may receive standard request data such as the visitor’s IP address and browser headers. Automatic thumbnail generation additionally sends an unlisted canvas URL and its embedded website to WordPress.com mShots only after an administrator opts in and starts generation.
Updates #
Back up the database and files before updating. Keep the wp-responsive folder name and do not edit plugin files directly. Test updates on staging when possible.
Uninstall #
Deactivation does not delete data. Uninstall preserves data unless the administrator explicitly enables the deletion option in the plugin settings before uninstalling. Export or back up any content you need to keep.
Request support #
Include the plugin version, WordPress version, PHP version, active theme, browser, shortcode, selected layout, and the exact public URL that fails. Add relevant error messages without sending passwords, private keys, access tokens, personal data, or full production logs.
